About

Glen and his StratHey there from Guitarspys.com,

I am Glen, sole webmaster at your service.

This project began after a very serious event took place in my life. While a courier at Fedex, I discovered some soreness in my arms and slight tightness in my chest while over exerting. I went to my doctor and through testing they found I had a 100% blockage in one artery and 95% and 85% in two others. I was told that it was a miracle that I had not had a heart attack. While getting checked out at the cardiologist, I had passed out and stopped breathing for two seconds as the doctor revived me. I was admitted to the hospital right away just  2 blocks away. After finding the blockage I had a triple bypass done. After surviving the open heart surgery (thank God) I began a long road to recovery. During this time I contracted frozen shoulders and it has prolonged my ability to go back to work. So in the meantime I began searching for a respectfull way to continue to provide for my family while in recovery by way of the internet. I discovered blogging and here I am. I am a guitarist, bass guitarist, a singer and songwriter, so talking about the subject is easy for me. My early musical  interests come from the 60’s and 70’s rock and jazz-rock scene in that era. I have spent most of my life on a search for inspiring guitarists and bands. I get peticularly excited at finding and sharing undiscovered artists. I used to listen to a radio station that exclusively played unknown artists during the time of the 70’s. I built a record collection from that station of bands like Styx, Rush, Boston, ZZ Top, Kansas, Stanley Clark, etc. that at the time were undiscovered. I seek to give you the same type of musical detective work here to peak your enjoyment and participation and at the same time  provide for my loved ones in case I cannot return to Fedex. In the meantime have fun exploring and I welcome your comments and friendship along the way!

God Bless,

Glen
